Ourselves” by Viagra Boys -
I’ve been listening through their catalog a bunch lately and this just stood
out as a really pleasant and just genuine love song. Maybe that key change
to a minor chord after each verse is supposed to be more foreboding or
something but imo this is an excellent cover and I can’t get it out of my
head.
I went on a lovely bike ride to the farmer’s market, got some delicious new
hot sauce and a cup of coffee, then while riding to the store for an errand
stopped at a lemonade stand run by two 8-ish year olds. If I’m on a bike and
I see kids with a lemonade stand, I always stop. It just feels like the
right thing to do, and some lemonade to help fuel a ride on a hot day is
always nice.
